Welcome to part one of Different Seasons, where we discuss Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption and Apt Pupil. We wish we could say this was a light and breezy start to the book but, unlike Todd Bowden, we do not want to spin an elaborate web of pleasant lies. This is a rough one.
